WEF Davos, January 22-25, 2014 : The “Via-Zac” edition

ViaZac Economy

The “Viagra” speakers at Davos Forum will explain what they could do if they dared, the “Prozac” players will tell why they are afraid to change anything, and a panel of politicians, economists and business persons will conclude on live internet TV that 2014 is full of … risks, fears, and uncertainty, not to mention profits for the happy few and losses for most have-nots, but that the  business of risks, uncertainty and fears is as good a business as others.

Tax in France : so what, now ?

Limage-du-jour

No, France is not a tax heaven, whatever tax credits, “niches” and loopholes they may have, grow or invent for entrepreneurs and rich people to stay and create jobs, finance innovation and buy or export “made in France” goods. Not yet.

And some rich and famous with brains, not only quite good football and rather average tennis players, have realized that the French borders, not to mention the Berlin Wall(s), are over.

But no, not all the rich and have of France rush to, or stay in Britain, whatever “Tapis Rouge” here and there.

And things may change in France, thanks to climate change and heavy raining and snowing in Europe.

Things may improve thanks to computers.

As France goes for world’s best practices, benchmark(et)ing and state of the art tax techno and propaganda.

Things may improve step by step, after a few coffee cups in Paris-Bercy …

Things may really improve, if and when French tax ministers read English.

Lenine used to say “The Soviets are communism with electricity”. Nowadays France may be communism with a keyboard and coffee.

Life is like a Swiss Chocolate Box, especially in Switzerland. Don’t let it Melt

Usually, the “have” are better off than the “have not” and money can help for a good, enjoyable, better, extraordinary life, especially in purpose built places like there are quite a lot in Switzerland. But not always, even in perfect places for the “have”.

Some additional e-reading may be needed about how to think cooler and smarter about the future of Europe, France, Switzerland, England and other places of the heating world these days. (Please click on pictures if you don’t wanna be a potatoe couch watching the weather forecasts on TV and others enjoy sun, success, beach, love, Champagne, French learning bashing whilst you seat back in your chair reading the Sun, the Guardian or even worse and more biased against civilisation, the Financial Times).

Downloading some relevant pdf for printing is another option for readers with a taste for “real” paper books (or just no Kindle, but an iPhone, an iPad or whatever else works to e-read).

Nice Weather in Switzerland These Days : Life is Like a Swiss Chocolate Box

Life is like a Swiss chocolate box 😉

Let’s enjoy it all as long as it lasts without melting due to climate change.

Whatever Heat Wave in #Europe, the Mountains (and Frenchonomics) are Cool these Days in #France

OK, the Swiss have high mountains (though the Mont Blanc belongs to Euroland, unless somebody sold it to Qatar) and real “Gruyère” cheese named after a lovely village, but France (with foreign-owned hotels never on strike) is tourism World Champion !

But who cares about summits, as long as we have the Euro ? … To be, or not to be in Euroland, that has been the question for a while, now, and some answer, my friends, is blowing in the mountain’s wind …
