Yes, François Hollande made a speech at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, and French Daniel Cohn-Bendit and Marine le Pen applauded (or not). Yes we (French) can (talk to other French European representatives) ! Does real world listen ?

Ps : but not everybody (and the Brits are not “everybody”) can speak French (neither understand the French …) and not everybody believes in French mirages, French miracles, French visions, or French oracles …

Yes, Mr. President Obama, you could Win (nicely) and can Speak (well), but now, let’s Walk the Talk

Getting (re)elected is not that difficult, even G.W. Bush managed … But we can’t always be as lucky with perfect storms as most of us were with #Sandy, could you please now kindly jail some US banksters and help fix a few things in our common world ?

Let’s walk the talk, now.

Some additional e-reading may be needed about our common world, Europe, Euro-nomics, France, Frenchonomics, the options for future Competitiveness in France in spite of all reports, funerals and funerals of reports …
… about French Politics, French Wine, French Climate, French Changes and other sad issues that may be of interest even if of little importance for the real XXIst century in the world.
Please click on hereafter pictures if you don’t wanna be a potatoe couch watching the weather forecasts on Fox TV and let others enjoy sun, success, beach, love, Champagne, French learning bashing whilst you seat back in your chair reading the Sun, the Guardian or even worse and more biased against civilisation, the Financial Times or the Economist.

Downloading some relevant pdf for printing is another option for readers with a taste for “real” paper books (or just no Kindle, but an iPhone, an iPad or whatever else works to e-read).

#French #Ecology = Politic(ian)s under the Sun, be it of Cancun, Durban, Rio or #Paris

Not all greencrats of France could go to the Rio+20 global conference (for budget or hotel capacity reasons, but also because not all of them speak English), so French President Hollande agreed to speak at a green French conference in Paris.

Not that there was much to say, as the socialist plateform for the presidential election was only a few months old.

Not that there was a great new opening joke.

Not that there was much new or very impressive green under the French sun worth mentionning.

Not that there was much new that the French ecolocats could not have read on the internet since Rio+20.

But the French ecolocrats are not that different from the other ecolocrats of the world, and they love to meet top level politicians once a year, to discuss together now and then (preferably in French), and to visit nice cities (preferably not in France), preferably at seaside but not necessarily if the weather is nice, the food good and the Champagne cool.

And even if they don’t talk about the real issues because nobody agrees on solutions, neither on causes and not even on facts, they appreciate, that there is an occasion to talk about them even if it is missed as usual.

So, the French have organized a French conference, 14-15th September in Paris, and the participants will listen to speeches by several French ministers (at least 15) and a lot of French ecolocrats. French ecology (Frenchology) and French “changement” (the more, the less) as usual.

How to kill the last few hours before the (official) announcement of yet another thing that everybody knows but doesn’t say about #French politics ?

No need to read The Economist or the Tribune de Genève or LeSoir of Belgium or the #RadioLondres twits to know a few unsaid, or not officially at least, truths about France, French economics (which some call “Freakonomics”) and French politics.

In #Paris (#France), Hard Days and Hot Shows equally End Up with a Good Late Dinner and Some More Talking

Paris nightlife used to be different before France discovered Revolutions and TV shows. In Oldschool French Politics, people used to talk more about Cuisine or Sex than local elections. Things change, even in Paris, and there may come more “Changement”.

Ps : the undertitle of Molinaro’s film is anachronic, and not to be considered in view of recent situations and people in France, things have changed, they always do, and people have changed, even politicians are different from what they used to be a couple of years centuries ago, there’s always something new happening in Paris. And by the way, the last trendy dish in town was “pâtes aux truffes”, not “asperges en petit pois”, but even the pasta is already has-been, everybody is on a diet now in France, and it may last quite a while even if the wheater is warm in Europe next summer.

But as the old French saying goes : “Les carottes sont cuites … let’s have dinner and the whole thing off, tomorrow will be another day et les lendemains vont chanter, whatever song, whoever sings, whatever works”.

That’s all there is to say now. But one never knows what may happen with those French People. Some are surprising and worth listening to, reading about, remembering for inspiration. Everybody knows, that when the going gets tough in France, the tough Frenchmen keep talking (some even walk their talk, but usually, voters and other citizens let them talk).

RF, really.
