Yes, things change, and time flies, or vice-versa … Happy New Year anyway

Let it change ...

Of course, most of us in town regret the lovely, slow steam trains in the beautiful mountains. But those who travel 3rd class in rainy seasons may have a different opinion. And if some love museums and antiques, let them spend their holiday in France.

#FF @ Xi Jinping, who joined the G2 Club. Hopefully the World Managers will accept a G5 board

The quiet victory of Xi Jinping in China is not as twitted and buzzed as President Obama’s clean sweep of Mitt Romney between a storm and a snowfall, but the cook of the World’s Savers Club must prepare world food for two (or more) now. Fast.

But as we have (in most parts of the world) reached the XXIst century, full club membership should of course be authorized for ladies.

And as a matter of gender balance, a second Lady is advisable for dinner.

But of course, a Gang of Four may not be everybody’s cup of tea in the Club. Then, who else ?

Ladies first.

And why shouldn’t that be enough to do the job, folks ?

Provided the 5 don’t forget about nature, climate, biodiversity and all that stuff the ecolocrats discuss once a year on the beach with a daiquiri or Champagne.

Provided the 5 don’t forget about peace, economics, education, employment, security, food, health and all that stuff our local leaders should take care of but apparently can’t cope with (especially in a sustainable, win-win way).

Provided, that at least one of the 5 twits now and then in English about where we all are aiming at, now that e-world-democracy is here to stay.

Tea (green please), coffee (black of course) or wine (French if possible), whatever works as long as we can have Champagne (French of course) for Xmas and prepare for a Happy New Year 2013 …

Some additional e-reading may be needed about our common world, Europe, Euro-nomics, France, Frenchonomics, the options for future Competitiveness in France in spite of all reports, funerals and funerals of reports …
… about French Politics, French Wine, French Climate, French Changes and other sad issues that may be of interest even if of little importance for the real XXIst century in the world.
Please click on hereafter pictures if you don’t wanna be a potatoe couch watching the weather forecasts on Fox TV and let others enjoy sun, success, beach, love, Champagne, French learning bashing whilst you seat back in your chair reading the Sun, the Guardian or even worse and more biased against civilisation, the Financial Times or the Economist.

Downloading some relevant pdf for printing is another option for readers with a taste for “real” paper books (or just no Kindle, but an iPhone, an iPad or whatever else works to e-read).

Frenchonomics : who buys what (from whom) in #France ?

As the socialists have taken over Elysée Palace, Matignon Hotel and several other prestigious old buildings in Paris and other big French cities, Qatar buys CAC40 and what pays off fast (tax-free) whilst China buys what may help its exports to Europe.

What is for sure, is that the French themselves are not exactly in an investing mood, and don’t have very deep pockets to keep their jewels, these days. Frenchonomics “à la Sauce #Hollande” in Châlons en #Champagne

France is at crossroads between the Wine, or “ClubMed” Europe, with Portugal, Greece, Spain, Italy … and  Beer, or Serious Euroland, with Germany, Finland, the Netherlands … Now, President Hollande knows where to go, but he needs a scapegoat.

Frenchonomics “à la #Royal” in Poitou-Charentes

Please, some real customers should buy the “made in Poitou” small electric car. Not only to keep the former Heuliez workers and factory going on in spite of the going getting real tough for everybody. But to keep Ségolène Royal busy around there.

RIP, Neil #Armstrong, Forever First Man on the Moon

Maybe you could have found a cheaper way to go swimming at sea, summer 1969.

Maybe you didn’t need to go that far to find a quiet beach, at that time.

Maybe you could have gone dancing with friends to a closer place, then.

Maybe you should have worn nicer shoes for worldwide television, this day.

Maybe you should have left the place as clean as you had found it in July.

Maybe not. Maybe you did the right choice and said the right thing.

Maybe you could have created a startup rather than joining government.

Maybe you could have played basket ball a more standard way.

Maybe you could have had a less controversial boss.

Maybe you could have been a better “chef” yourself.

Maybe not. Maybe you went the best way and did the best thing.
What is for sure is that, now you can report mission Apollo 11 to Kennedy.
What is for sure, is that you are up there forever, now.
What is for sure, is that you have a nice place under the sun, with a view, now.
What is for sure is that you flew safely back home and won’t ever walk alone.
Good bye, Sir.
Please keep an eye on us, on the US, on earth …

Yet another “Place to Be” in France this Summer (but with the same people as in Paris, far less taxis than taxes as anywhere in France, and unlike Saint Tropez, no helicopters)

La Rochelle, Plage des Minimes

Forget Paris and the Velib’, too commonplace and Paris-Plages is over. Forget Saint Tropez and Pampelone Beach, too nouveau-riche and Bardot is over. Forget Marrakech. The place to be now is La Rochelle, where the smart people go.

New France, where the smart (money) go (es away from)

Of course, France is now a socialist paradise, with a lot of lining up in front of empty places with red, great promises outside and red carpets speeches but no food inside and bikes instead of cars.

Do you know why we are queueing up ? No, who cares to know why, we have to, that’s the new way it is, maintenant

And unlike in Asian communist countries, the best and brightest don’t (all) escape to study in Harvard or Berkeley and create startups in Sillicon Valley or Boston, but (some, surely too many) stay and study in one of the many French graduate schools for civil servants with a view to become at best Minister of startups in Sillicon Sentier, at worst Minister of whatever doesn’t work in France like Industry, Small Business Growth, University, Innovation, Immigration, Housing, Economics, Ecology, Chicken, Export, Chicken Export …

Best an brightest, Junior-Minister of “Numeric Economy” under supervision of the Minister of “Industrial Renewal”

And the bad news is, France may be the sole remaining communist place in the world with an unrealistically overvalued currency German style but no black exchange market (yet) like they had in former DDR or other communist German Hinterland, refurbished Asian or Qatar owned hotels with remote controlled color TV and high speed internet but communist standard room service, and a business airport close to Paris with standard capitalist traffic jams but communist standard helicopter service for Party members and Government only, and far less taxis than taxes, of course.

Red Carper toward l’avenir is in La Rochelle, maintenant

Anyway, La Rochelle is the place to be, now, if you enjoy France or can’t avoid it.

Psssst boys, this is not the place where the girls are …

So far, so French so good, growth is around the La Rochelle corner.

Good (War)Game(s), #London2012 ! Merci, Madam #Queen #England #UK #OlympicBritain

Not that praising the Brits be my pleasure, especially as they cheated France a couple of time, but great games, with talent, energy and a little bit of Madness. Bravo and thank you @ everybody. Bravo and thank @ London. Bravo and merci, Madam. (Please, click on the hereabove picture for the debriefing of the games, and on the hereunder image for more praising of Great, Olympic Britain, which is as reliable as ever, both as a great friend and as a great … match).

Anyway, Olympics are as good as holiday and watching TV on the sofa with a cool beer or singing old anthems in a stadium or the streets, but it’s time to go back to real competition #InRealLife, now (please click on picture to download & read the free eBook) if you want to be able to pay the rent and to afford a German car made in Britain (or Germany, but those are much less fun, much more German).

Spanish Angst this Week-End in Europe …

Let’s hope we’ll remember June 2012 as a kind of Almodovar film, not without terror but with a happy end in Madrid and the rest of Euroland as soon as possible.

Those who would like to read more about risks of thunder and other possibilities of financial, social, economic, political or whatever trouble in Europe (and the rest of the world including usually sunny France) may click on the following pictures to reach a few series of recent eBooks.

Some things happen abroad, these days (even from a French perspective)

Not that the French could be as “mad” as the Brits about the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, or as interested as many other people about non French speaking rock singers, but they know they must watch abroad theses days, as real things happen.

Yes, things happen, abroad.

And for those who have already seen and heard the concert, who know everything already about the Jubilee, the Queen and England, the French and the World, or who just feel like reading about ongoing changes around old Europe in … French, well, they may e-read some French eBooks about changes and other relevant issues.
