Don’t pretend nobody warned you : it’s 2013, now ! Get up, and Grow up, You Geek !

chat2001I wish a very Happy New Year, but as I have run out stamps during 2012 and of iPhone battery at dinner, and as there is no wi-fi in my meditation spot for New Year’s Eve, let’s just surf a while with cool sound and do the homework later in 2013.

Small Café 2013

Holiday season is almost over : http://joyeuxnoel2012.wordpress.com/

But 2013 is here (give it a try at least) : http://bonneannee2013.wordpress.com/

Some additional e-reading may be needed about XXIst century (or so they believe) artists, politicians, world, Europe, Euro-nomics, Euro-Fatcats, Eurocrats, France, Frenchonomics, the options for future Competitiveness in France in spite of all reports, elections, airports, funerals and funerals of reports, airports or elections …
… about French Politics, French Wine, French Climate, French Changes and other sad issues that may be of interest even if of little importance for the real XXIst century in the world.
Please click on hereafter pictures if you don’t wanna be a potatoe couch watching the weather forecasts on Fox TV and let others enjoy sun, success, beach, love, Champagne, French learning bashing whilst you seat back in your chair reading the Sun, the Guardian or even worse and more biased against civilisation, the Financial Times or the Economist.

Downloading some relevant pdf for printing is another option for readers with a taste for “real” paper books (or just no Kindle, but an iPhone, an iPad or whatever else works to e-read).

The New-Year bonus from Paris

No, the French (Socialists) do not eat Snails. Not in Summer

Whatever the Brits may say, think , write or twit about France can only be wrong, over-ironic and biased, basically because they are a bunch of anti-frog cheaters, bank(st)ers and liars : for instance, the French (socialists) do not eat snails, on the contrary.

The (#Green) #French should soon be (Back) at Work for a (to) #Change (#France)

Fifty-Fifty, fair enough, but does it work ?

Everybody in France (and other places where people think a sinking Europe is a bad customer and could be an awful debtor) cross fingers, that after their never ending French elections and summer holiday, the French are ready for real work, now.

French Lagarde (IMF Boss) & French Lamy (WTO Boss)

Everybody, even out of France, expects the French Government is seriously at work, now. Not just playing “serious games” …

Cécile Duflot, August 2012, at French Green Summer Camp. Was elected “Député” of Paris thanks to Socialist/Ecologist agreement at 2012 French presidential election. Currently Minister of Housing in François Hollande Government

Not like the French handball champions who deserved a long holiday after their gold medal celebrated by getting drunk and devastating a TV studio where the were interviewed, neither like their national football team that has become the shame of France and laughing stock of the planet with or without playing, nor like their patriots who were not in London to support France at the Games, but are real red government carpet fans who got free tickets for the one way plane or train to London the Oympics as almost every French tax-exiled in England everybody in London …

Like the French President.

Well, well, well …

But not like the French Ecologists, whose boss is quite desperate at their annual 3-day meeting somewhere in the French countryside …

Not well, not well, not well …

… as he sees the naked Green France.

Well, well, well …

The Green France with glasses …

Well ?

… or without glasses …

Not well !

… or with glasses …

Well ?

… or without glasses …

Not well !

… or not decided about the glasses …

Well …

… or whatever works, with or without glasses …

Definitely not well …

… or whoever walks talking romance or talks walking romance all the time instead of working …

As well as can be …

France, so Green, so French, So Good, So Fresh … and hopefully back at work soon(er or later).

Never mind … it’s just Grass …

So French, so good : “growth is around the (French) corner and all lights are green” (but not vice-versa).

Renaud Favier, August 23rd, 2012.

Suntanning is Has-Been, Be (Read) Smarter on the Beach

What can he read ? Where the hell did he buy this hat ?

If you’re quite anonymous and want to remain so on the beach, this summer, you’ll have to go for the standard beach clothes and read eBooks to prevent the  journalists to know what you read from the book’s cover. Otherwise, you’re in trouble.

What can they read ? Where the hell did they buy thoses clothes ?

RF, August 8th, 2012

Some additional e-reading may be needed about how to be smarter on the beach and other important issues in Europe, France and other places these days. (Please click on pictures).

You are what you … read

Smart cats don’t eat, neither read crap, even on summer holiday. The good news is, whatever remote place for their holiday has now either electricity, or solar power available for cooking and reading (with exception of certain no-wifi areas overseas).

Some e-reading smart cats are Kindle addicts. Whatever works, as long as they are happy.

Some smart e-reading cats are somewhat more oldschool and prefer traditionnal sofa reading and “pdf” because it looks more familiar and can easily be printed (or they just like the French Youscribe MarketPlace). Whatever works, as long as they are happy.

Some cats, stay or fat, are Facebook, or coffee addicts. Whatever works, as long as they are happy with what they read …

Finger, Moon and Invisible Hand(s) at Work in Montréal …

Not all who protest for the moon deserve it, not all who ask with fingers raised deserve to be heard, but no invisible hand at work should remain unwatched because winds of change always blow in unexpected places from unexpected directions.

Bad News from the Stars (Star Wars ?) in #Chicago and Bad Weather in #Cannes

Crisis against G8 in Camp David, missiles against NATO in Chicago and cold rain against the Festival in Cannes : windy Monday, and another Bee Gees died, on top of it all. As if it were not enough with Marilyn having gone West to Palm Springs, California …

Back to #Normal (in #Europe, #facebook, #Markets, #G8, Camp David, World #Space …) ?

Facebook stays at IPO pricing $38 (meaning investors value the company over $ 100 billion), G8 leaders drop their tie for an informal dinner at Camp David and a US (private) spaceship should fly in space again. Maybe the world is going back to normal ?

A “normal” President in Paris and a “different” Parliament in Athens : Euro(pe) at crossroads ?

What Wouldn’t the #French and #Greenpeace dare do, to make #Atomic #Buzz ? #Bugey #France

French boys, including ecologist activists, nuclear engineers and professional politicians love risky sports where they can spend some extra fighting spirit and energy, impress the girls and make the buzz on Twitter, Youtube and oldschool television.
