Frenchonomics : Good News, We Know the French Paradox is a Fake ; Bad News, The French Don’t

French Ducks and Geese are happy : US ban on Foie Gras is good for their health and longevity. The bad news is, the French will eat enormous quantities of Foie for Christmas and New-Year even if they are bankrupt. Because this is the French “tradition”.

Some additional e-reading may be needed about France, Frenchonomics, French Politics, French Cars or even more important issues. (Please click on pictures if you don’t wanna be a potatoe couch watching the weather forecasts on TV and let others enjoy sun, success, beach, love, Champagne, French learning bashing whilst you seat back in your chair reading the Sun, the Guardian or even worse and more biased against civilisation, the Financial Times and the Economist).

Downloading some relevant pdf for printing is another option for readers with a taste for “real” paper books (or just no Kindle, but an iPhone, an iPad or whatever else works to e-read).

Frenchonomics : let’s Hope with H…ollande

The good news in Paris, France, is that hope is at the corner of the street (with demonstrators at the end), and nobody burns cars in town (until winter, usually). But it might be slightly over-optimistic to consider that all lights are green, right now.

The (#Green) #French should soon be (Back) at Work for a (to) #Change (#France)

Fifty-Fifty, fair enough, but does it work ?

Everybody in France (and other places where people think a sinking Europe is a bad customer and could be an awful debtor) cross fingers, that after their never ending French elections and summer holiday, the French are ready for real work, now.

French Lagarde (IMF Boss) & French Lamy (WTO Boss)

Everybody, even out of France, expects the French Government is seriously at work, now. Not just playing “serious games” …

Cécile Duflot, August 2012, at French Green Summer Camp. Was elected “Député” of Paris thanks to Socialist/Ecologist agreement at 2012 French presidential election. Currently Minister of Housing in François Hollande Government

Not like the French handball champions who deserved a long holiday after their gold medal celebrated by getting drunk and devastating a TV studio where the were interviewed, neither like their national football team that has become the shame of France and laughing stock of the planet with or without playing, nor like their patriots who were not in London to support France at the Games, but are real red government carpet fans who got free tickets for the one way plane or train to London the Oympics as almost every French tax-exiled in England everybody in London …

Like the French President.

Well, well, well …

But not like the French Ecologists, whose boss is quite desperate at their annual 3-day meeting somewhere in the French countryside …

Not well, not well, not well …

… as he sees the naked Green France.

Well, well, well …

The Green France with glasses …

Well ?

… or without glasses …

Not well !

… or with glasses …

Well ?

… or without glasses …

Not well !

… or not decided about the glasses …

Well …

… or whatever works, with or without glasses …

Definitely not well …

… or whoever walks talking romance or talks walking romance all the time instead of working …

As well as can be …

France, so Green, so French, So Good, So Fresh … and hopefully back at work soon(er or later).

Never mind … it’s just Grass …

So French, so good : “growth is around the (French) corner and all lights are green” (but not vice-versa).

Green (Lights) at Work in Poitiers, August 22-24 … or so some French Believe (in Frenchology)

The Rocky Green Picture Show Must Go On

Some French believe, that red politicians with green glaze care for nature and environment, that France can afford driving German Panzers if the children ride small bicycles, and that their French water and Chinese solar energy are clean and free.

Frenchology at work …

Let them talk and believe what they want about ecology and whatever other legends : they have done so for decades, if not centuries, nobody cares and the world is neither a better, nor a worse place to live in just because the French people, French politicians, French unions, French Euro and French business people are and talk … so French.

To be or not to be (French ? Wrong ?), that is the question …

The trouble would be, if the French decided to escape from France. Fortunately enough, they know, that the problem is the French, not France, and that if they go elsewhere, where people speak French, it will most surely be the same story of student strikes, big energy companies and endless political discussing like in some parts of Canada (which they still believe to be smaller than France, mostly French speaking and waiting for newcomers from old, poor France), crazy soccer like everywhere around France except Germany (and nobody would go settle in Germany unless starving and German speaking, neither of which is very frequent in France unless at military war time), and Qatar owned hotels and golfs like in France but more expensive than in France. So the escaping French usually stay very close to French food, medicaid and borders, with a preference for French speaking parts of Geneva, Brussels and London, which explains why they have built fast, air-con trains going there (and back because dentists, wine and cheese are so much cheaper in France) and don’t threaten to invade the rest of the world, with the possible exception of Marrakech, but the French fast train is still under construction there and will not be connected to France unless Spain is at sale and France can afford to buy it and rebuild the railways (which are not the same width as in France), which seems very unlikely. So, if some French believe, or even say, France is green, just let them believe, or even talk,  as long as they stay, believe and talk in their Green France and don’t interfere with Euro(pe) issues, British Olympics, serious soccer, real business or banking regulations (as regards building cars, it doesn’t matter, soon they will build only German and Japanese  cars like everybody else in Europe).

No panic, it’s just (France) Grass

So French, so good : “growth is around the (French) corner and all lights are green”.

Nice Weather in Switzerland These Days : Life is Like a Swiss Chocolate Box

Life is like a Swiss chocolate box ;-)

Let’s enjoy it all as long as it lasts without melting due to climate change.

I’ll be back soon(er or later)

It’s Summertime in #Paris #France, at last !

Summertime in Paris is all the better, since there are a couple of season’s beaches along the Seine River and less cars. Besides, with or without climate change, the weather is just great theses days. Let’s enjoy it, as good as it is, and as long as it lasts.

Suntanning is Has-Been, Be (Read) Smarter on the Beach

What can he read ? Where the hell did he buy this hat ?

If you’re quite anonymous and want to remain so on the beach, this summer, you’ll have to go for the standard beach clothes and read eBooks to prevent the  journalists to know what you read from the book’s cover. Otherwise, you’re in trouble.

What can they read ? Where the hell did they buy thoses clothes ?

RF, August 8th, 2012

Some additional e-reading may be needed about how to be smarter on the beach and other important issues in Europe, France and other places these days. (Please click on pictures).

#Euro Boys … Much Talk, Little Work, Summer Job in London … and Frankfurt

Mario Draghi is a good (banker ?) player. Nobody really knows what game he is playing at the moment, but all the big guys seem very enthusiastic about it. Or almost all the big guys. Because Angela Merkel recommends more work and less talk.

Rio+20 : small steps by Mankind, no giant leap for #Green Earth

It could have been worse in Rio : the summit could have failed, truths could have been hidden, people could have stayed unheard, green economy could have been left aside. But one needs a lot of sense of humour to smile about the future we want.

Some rain in Poland and Ukraine doesn’t matter as long as there is no perfect storm in Spain or elsewhere

Unexpectedly enough, the climate seems perfect in Poland and Ukraine for the “Euro” whereas the weather doesn’t appear too cosy in Spain, Greece and other more touristic spots. Things change (or not), let’s hope it goes for the better everywhere.

Those who would like to read more about risks of thunder and other possibilities of climate, social, economic, political or whatever trouble in Europe (and the rest of the world including usually sunny France) may click on the following pictures to reach a few series of eBooks.
